Visited for an initial check up as an NHS patient and was very impressed with the level of attention and care that I received. Nothing seemed too much trouble and there was no rush to get to the next patient.
Always polite, treat me with care no Im not the biggest fan of dentists and look after me, best dentist I have ever had! Thank you!
Receptionist has no Customer Service Skills what so ever. On several occasions when I have rung, I have been advised I was being put on 'hold'. She then puts the phone on the desk, and you can here everything she is saying to patients. Not only is this unprofessional, it is in beach of Data Protection. The same receptionist breached Data Protection, when I first joined the surgery. She had a clip board with several personal questions on. Instead of giving me the form to fill in, she read the questions aload, so everybody in the waiting room could here.I have witnessed her do the same to other new patients, whilst I have been in the waiting room.
The first point of contact is the most important in any business and I'm sorry to say this falls well short of being satisfactory. My call was for information regarding NHS appointment and the availability. After being informed that there were no appointments of that nature available until August, I enquired if there was any emergency dental services I could use. Whilst not in any great pain, I have a tooth which has developed an issue which requires attention. Unfortunately it was if a switch had been flicked on the lady to whom I spoke, and her attitude and tone were quite frankly, appalling. Her sharp and terse response caught me a little off guard and I quickly ended the call. Thus I felt compelled to express my views. It would have been highly likely I, if unable to use an emergency service, would have called back to make a private appointment but now would not and will take my custom elsewhere. Whilst I cannot comment on the dental practice itself, the contact with this particular individual put paid to any chance they have of seeing me there.
Used this dentist since I was a boy (now 36) and seen the same great dentist each time. I now take each of my 4 kids every 6 months for a checkup. Very thorough and expanatory.
